Northern liquid light psych premiere ZONES voyages through four fresh funked-up heavy hitters on his fourth release, “Recursion - EP”. A collection of tracks opening a magnetic wormhole through fluorescent funk and refracted disco illusions. Just like light hitting a prism, the “Recursion - EP” expands the ZONES multi hued mothership to include a groove heavy, dialed in psychedelic experience. Throw-back disco grooves are activated by space-echoed psych guitar roadhouses interweaving with the bleary bump of a sound system all heavily phased to hypnotic effect.

The album oozes and undulates through: sky-scanner magma dub (“The Way”), Outlaw gun slingin' bad boy anthems (“Highnoon”), late night boogie shuffle (“Mothlight”) and 3am purple floyd shakedowns (“Deadwater”). The signature low pitched chalky off-the-grid drum programming orbits on the rings around the ZONES planet, carving tracks for trails of portamento and pitch bent synthesizers to round the corners. Electric and energized, this is a psych-rock record that will make you dance. The message is in the music, dance is psychedelic and music is unity. So take the trip; aboard the mothership and move your body through time and space. A vacation of the senses, you have been given the key to the wiggly worm, let yourself go and feel free to feel free.
